On Saturday, August 31st,
SYC will host the 30th annual Long Beach to Dana Point Race in
conjunction with our partners Dana Point Yacht Club and Dana West Yacht
Club. For the past several years we have
had 50 – 70 boats participate in one of the fleets as they race down the coast
(hopefully keeping it to port) to Dana Point and the hospitality of DPYC and
DWYC.
Come out Friday night and
visit with the sailors that have brought their boats into Shoreline from other areas for
the race. On Saturday morning, Joanie
Asher and her tireless crew of volunteers have a great send-off breakfast
planned for the racers and anyone else that wants to come out and enjoy the
food.
Dana West Yacht Club has a great after race party planned for Saturday night. The awards presentation will be at Dana Point Yacht Club on Sunday at noon. Come out and have a Bloody Mary to start the day and stay for the awards.
