Cal20 Class Championships

Congratulations to the following winners for the 2014 Cal20 Class Championships:

Gold Fleet - Eric Doyle on Finco Special
Silver Fleet - Matthew Rustigan on Horton
Bronze Fleet - Kyle Lindsey on Top Knotch
Masters Division - Eric Conn on Project 14
Female Skipper Division - Cathy Black-Smith on PCH

Cal20 Class Championships

Friday was the Elimination Races for the Gold/Silver Fleets.  The winds were steady out of the southwest, starting at 7 knots in the first of the three races, building to 10 for the second race and then dropping to 8 for the third race.

Congratulations to Keith Ives on Rubber Dog for taking first place for the day's racing with two first places out of the three races.  Complete results are posted under the Cal20 Class Championship tab.

Racing on Saturday and Sunday will see all three fleets (Gold, Silver and Bronze) racing.

Cal 20 Class Championships

Starting today, SYC is hosting the 2014 Cal20 Class Championships.  We started today with the Juniors and had a great day on the water with 5 boats of juniors competing.

Congratulations to Sawyer Gibbs for taking the regatta by one point over Alex Van Dyke.  Complete results can be seen under the Cal 20 Class Championship tab.

Tomorrow is the Elimination Races to determine which competitors make it into the Gold Fleet and therefore are eligible to race for the Class Championship on Saturday and Sunday.

Results from this weekend Platform to QM (PHRF TAB) and Cal 20 Prep (CAL 20 TAB) have been posted. Thank you to those who competed and our great race committee efforts. 

Cal 20 Championship Prep Regatta

SYC will host a Prep Regatta on Sunday August 10th to help prepare competitors for the upcoming Cal 20 Class Championship. Skippers who are competing in the Championships will be given first choice for the boats they will be racing in the following weekend, non-competing racers will be assigned other boats on first come first serve basis.
