On Saturday, August 11th, Shoreline Yacht Club and the Pacific Singlehanded Sailing Association will be hosting the annual Platform to Queen Mary Race for singlehanded and doublehanded sailors. Although this race has been in existence for many years, it has been renamed the Franklin D. Ross Memorial Platform to Queen Mary Race in honor of our dear friend, Frank Ross who passed over the bar earlier this year.
Frank was an avid singlehanded sailor who competed in almost every singlehanded sailing event that there is. But as important to Frank was his love and support of the sport of yacht racing in any form.
Come out and join us for the race or join us in the Bar at SYC on Saturday evening to celebrate the latest group of racers who go out by themselves or at most with one other person to compete.
